The emotional whiplash is astonishing, but he's grown accustomed to it after so many years. Rather than send a reply, Castiel busies himself with unimportant details--straightening things, organizing the growing collection of useless items he's amassed since arriving, setting two bottles of the stuff his other self had graciously left with him several days ago. The contents are strong, but one might not be enough.
